This policy covers the Scientific Calculator app for Android and iOS.

Summary
Scientific Calculator does not collect, share or sell any personal data. The app has no internet access, no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Everything you type stays on your device.
What the app stores on your device
To work, the app keeps these in its private storage on your device:
- your settings (theme, angle unit, number format and similar);
- your calculation history, variables and memory values;
- what you enter in the modes, such as matrices, statistics data and graph functions;
- the expression you were typing, so it's still there when you come back.
We cannot see this data. The app does not have internet access, so it cannot send anything anywhere.
Backups and new phones
- Android: cloud backup is switched off for the app. When you set up a new phone, Android 12 and later may copy the app's data directly from your old phone. That copy does not pass through us.
- iOS: if you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, iOS includes the app's data in your own backup, as it does for other apps. That backup is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and we cannot access it.
What we receive
Nothing from the app itself: no personal information, device identifiers, usage data, location, contacts or files.
Google Play and the App Store give every developer general statistics, such as how many people installed the app. If you have chosen to share diagnostics with Google or Apple, they may also pass on crash reports. These do not tell us who you are, and we use them only to fix problems. Google's and Apple's own privacy policies cover how they collect this information.
Clipboard
The app uses the clipboard only when you ask it to. Copy places a value on the clipboard. Paste (including Paste CSV in Statistics) reads it once to insert the text. The app never reads the clipboard in the background.
Permissions
The app asks for no permissions: no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, files or internet.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and it shows no ads.
Deleting your data
- In the app: Settings → History → Clear history, or Settings → Data → Clear variables and memory, or Reset everything.
- Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your device.
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing to delete on our side. You are welcome to contact us with any question.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever handles data differently, we will update this page and its effective date before releasing that version.
